Rocky Mountain Pet Shop

Ross, owner and proprietor of the Rocky Mountain Pet Shop for over 20 years; grew up in Baltimore, MD and graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Journalism.

Ross moved out to Aspen, Colorado in 1991 and started an aquatics business working with Aspen locals in maintaining their in home fish environments. In December 1999 a client told him that the local pet shop was for sale and Ross was immediately interested. As a kid he had many pets including several dogs, turtles, frogs, snakes, fish, and birds and he already knew most pet owners in town. The client encouraged Ross to look into purchasing it because he was so impressed with Ross' customer service and knowledge about animals.

On January 2, 2000 Ross purchased the pet shop and loves offering a variety of options and price points in pet food, treats, supplements, toys and accessories to the dog friendly community of Aspen. He prides himself on preserving the history and personality of old Aspen.
